Games and Sports Committee
The Games and Sports Committee nourishes budding sportsmen and strengthens the sporting environment among students. Inspired by Swami Vivekananda's belief that "Playing Football is better than the reading of Gita," the committee emphasises physical fitness as essential preparation for life's challenges.
Mission: To nourish the budding sportsmen and strengthen the sporting environment among students.
Vision: To provide the students with means and environment to be fit and pursue their sporting passions.
Objectives
- Provide necessary sporting facilities and equipment for all students
- Organise cultural and sports activities with active student participation
- Encourage participation in state and national level competitions
- Offer both indoor and outdoor sports facilities throughout the year
Functions of Games and Sports Committee
- Assist students in organising and conducting games and sports events
- Ensure smooth conduct of all sports events and tournaments
- Maintain records of student participation at collegiate and regional levels
- Control tournament and competition conduct
- Appoint organising committees and sub-committees for events
- Allocate funds for sports tournaments and equipment
- Supervise and advise college management on sports matters
