Career Guidance and Counseling Committee

The Career Guidance and Counseling Committee develops individual competencies in self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, and career planning. KBIHER provides value-added services to its students in recognition of the need to equip them with skills, practical training, and languages useful in working across diverse cultures.

The committee counsels students professionally, academically, ethically, and personally to ensure comprehensive development while improving institutional effectiveness through strategic training integrated with the curriculum.

Objectives

  • Supply students with information on further education and career pathways
  • Enhance student awareness of their interests and abilities relative to employment opportunities
  • Familiarise students with work environments and foster appropriate work attitudes

Functions of Career Guidance and Counseling Committee

  • Provide career counselling and professional development sessions
  • Develop career exploration and planning programmes for all students
  • Conduct training, workshops, and presentations on employability skills
  • Coordinate with academic advisors on career-aligned educational choices
  • Monitor employment trends across the healthcare industry
  • Maintain employer contacts for job placement opportunities
  • Educate students on resume building, interviewing, and professionalism
  • Execute mock interviews and job search workshops
  • Organise career awareness events, job fairs, and employer interactions
