Social Responsibilities
KBIHER believes healthcare education extends beyond the classroom. We actively serve the community around us.
Giving Back to the Community
At KBIHER, we instil in our students a deep sense of social responsibility. Through health camps, awareness drives, and community outreach programs, our students and faculty serve the people of Purba Medinipur and beyond — putting their skills to use where they are needed most.
Free Health Camps
KBIHER regularly organises free health screening camps in rural areas around Mahishadal and Tajpur. Students provide basic diagnostics, physiotherapy assessment, and health education under faculty supervision.
Blood Donation Drives
In collaboration with local hospitals and the Red Cross, KBIHER conducts blood donation camps where students, faculty, and staff voluntarily donate blood to support the regional blood bank.
Awareness Programs
Students participate in health awareness campaigns on topics such as hygiene, nutrition, COVID-19 prevention, dengue awareness, maternal and child health, and non-communicable disease prevention.
School Outreach
KBIHER students visit local schools to conduct interactive sessions on basic first aid, hygiene practices, and the importance of healthcare careers — inspiring younger students about allied health professions.
NSS Activities
KBIHER's National Service Scheme (NSS) unit undertakes cleanliness drives, tree plantation programs, and social welfare activities in the campus and surrounding communities.
Disaster Relief Support
During natural calamities and health crises, KBIHER mobilises students and faculty to provide first aid, health assessment, and community support in the affected areas of Purba Medinipur district.
